ABOUT ME
I have worked in higher education for over 20 years, teaching everyone from beginning writers to advanced English literature majors. In the English Department at Shippensburg University, we have the opportunity to teach a variety of classes and take on several roles, which I am always eager to do! Some of my teaching and research interests are listed below. See Publications for a full list.
As a technical writer, I create clean well-researched prose that gets the job done, writing grants, proposals, and all manner of professional and technical documents. I have been the Director of the interdisciplinary Technical/Professional Communications Minor at Shippensburg for over 14 years. My work has just been published in the peer-reviewed journal Technical Communication, and I have certification from the Society for Technical Communication (STC), the premier journal in our field.
