I'm Dr. Carla Kungl, a constantly-reading, puzzle- and gardening-loving English professor at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Helping students succeed--in my classroom, at this university, in their future endeavors--is the passion that fuels me.

I'm currently working in a guest editor role for the Journal of Humanities for a special edition on the future of detective fiction. My dogs, my kids, and my never-ending quest for non-boring dinners occupy my free time, not necessarily in that order. Clearly a fan of hyphenated words and absolutely on Team Oxford Comma.
